Science Fair Rules & Guidelines
You are invited to explore the wonderful world of science by participating in our 3rd
annual Science Fair here at Addison! Participating in the Science Fair will give you a chance
to better understand the world around you through exploration and investigations into
scientific concepts! Your project can be both fun AND educational. Everyone who
participates will receive recognition, as well as a certificate of participation. Awards for 1st
,
2nd, and 3rd place will be given for grades K-5.
All students in K-5th grade are encouraged to participate in the Science Fair. Your
parents may assist you, but YOU must be the main scientist. The role of your parents/siblings
should be to offer encouragement, to help test ideas, and to offer an extra set of hands. A
project does not have to be complicated in nature for it to be a GOOD project!
You may visit the Cobb County Science blog for more information:
http://www.ccsdscience.com/k-5.html. Also, visit www.sciencebuddies.org to get some
ideas for great science projects! Pick a topic that interests you.
Check this blog for updates on what we are doing in Mrs. Shildneck's First Grade!
