Please have your child wear his/her Leader in Me Addison shirt on Thursday, March 14, 2019. We are having special visitors for our STEM Day! The children will be building a bird nest that safely holds 4 eggs and an adult bird.

Language Arts- We are working on determining who is telling the story? (central message) We continue to work on opinion writing. Please continue to help your child with spelling words each week as the words are getting harder. I am working on assessing your child's reading level and sight words.

Math- We are working on adding one and two digit numbers. We are discussing regrouping and what that means. We continue to work on word problems.

Social Studies- We are discussing Theodore Roosevelt and his contributions. 

Science- We are discussing animal survival skills and what helps them to survive.

Science Lab- March 1

We learned how to use binoculars. We made bird feeders. We are growing roots in sweet potatoes and  learning about different birds and their nests.

Wildlife Wonders In house Trip

Great trip... so much fun meeting some exotic animals. We met a legless lizard, bull snake,  alligator, bush baby and a chinchilla. We learned how they move, what they eat, how they survive and fight predators! It was so much fun!
